OPAL elects new Board
Muscat 26th March 2013:
Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL), the forum of 356 oil and gas companies operating in Oil and Gas, held its Annual General Meeting yesterday 25-March 2013 at Crown Plaza Muscat Hotel. The event was attended by some 200 General Managers and CEOs of OPAL member companies and representatives from the Ministry of Social Development.
OOC and OPAL continue “My Job My Oath” in Dhufar
Salalah, December 30th: Oman Oil Company (OOC) and Oman Society for Petroleum Services (OPAL) organised in Dhufar yesterday its second workshop for this year. The awareness Programme “My Job My Oath”..is an initiative of OOC’s Corporate Social Responsibility which plays a significant role in developing and involving the Omani youth into various work fields and industries, especially in Oil and Gas sectors, and insuring their promising and advantageous participation within the local market growth.Circular - Compliance Verification Certificate (CVC)
As most of you are aware, OPAL received a number of complaints from its members concerning the processes pertaining to the issuance of the Compliance Verification Certificates (CVC). The inability to grant the CVC has created some concerns on the part of our members, particularly given that securing the CVC is, in some cases, a pre-requisite for participating in tenders and that some operators impose penalties for not presenting a valid CVC.
ICV Blueprint Strategy Review
The Oil and Gas major players in Oman, with the sponsorship and coordination of the Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) and OPAL and with the support of Accenture Management Consulting, are conducting an In-Country Value Blueprint Strategy Review for Oman’s Oil and Gas sector.

Over the three days of the exhibition, OPAL in association with Technical & Administrative Training Institute is organising raffle draws distributing free Defensive Driving Courses and First Aid Courses to 30 visitors.
